A New TV Show is coming: HOT ROD CONCEPTS!
A K2 PRODUCTION
OBJECTIVE:
Hot Rod Concepts, a licensed enterprise, provides specialized client-sponsored custom car builds
for the purpose of increasing corporate brand exposure and awareness. Through the vital and
burgeoning televised automotive industry channel category and a detailed marketing plan, Hot
Rod Concepts effectively showcases a finished product through both a nationwide media
relations program plus the most elite leading industry trade shows.
Hot Rod Concepts (HRC), in conjunction with K2 Productions, is currently in the pre-production
stage for the new reality TV show of the same name with filming set to commence in late April
2009. In addition to the televised programming, Hot Rod Concepts has laid the groundwork for
an extensive run of media/public relations in all print and online media outlet categories which
will follow the build from concept to completion —and everything in between. Every build will
have coverage not only on the show, but through the use of pictorial and video web updates and
blogs as well as constant involvement by the newspaper, local network news, and car culture-
based magazine media.
It is our goal to partner with businesses ready to enjoy a new level of recognition through a
popular venue in a proven market. We are confident that a partnership between HRC and your
distinguished company will provide a perfect opportunity to promote your brand and products to
a prolific consumer base.
Please peruse this proposal and submit your offers as soon as possible. Filming begins this
month!
Sincerely,
Rodney O. Waters
Owner
WHAT SETS HOT ROD CONCEPTS APART FROM THE OTHERS:
Capitalizing on the popularity of the worldwide custom build automotive aftermarket, Hot Rod
Concepts seeks to duplicate and surpass the success of the well-known program “Orange County
Choppers”, but that is where the similarity ends. Unlike this established aftermarket build
marketing model, the end of the show is not the end of the road. Hot Rod Concepts takes the
client and viewers to the next level with an intensive marketing blitz–which in reality, means that
the end of the build is only the beginning of a lengthy brand awareness campaign.
As a sponsor of HRC, a company’s brand, logos and message can be prominently featured
throughout the television and internet coverage of the vehicle build through banner and logo
placement as well as potential product usage. Hot Rod Concepts both proposes and encourages
our client representative to be available for a potential appearance in a select episode and at
least one of the promotional tour locations to discuss and promote their product attributes and
enhancing brand notoriety and awareness.
Print coverage through media/public relations of each vehicle build will be captured by some of
the leading publications nationwide such as Buckaroo, Amos, and Source Interlink. HRC will make
a full effort working with the editor and photographer to make sure banner placements are
captured or show sponsors are mentioned.
Online coverage of the build will be simultaneous to each episode airing. Key destinations for
this progression will be showcased on social networking sites and constant Twitter feeds. Banner
placement and links on all HRC digital networking sites (MySpace, Facebook, etc…) are available
and encouraged.
The promotional tour will consist of dazzling displays at major automotive trade shows featuring
the highest available exposure in key demographics across the United States. HRC would like to
work with their major sponsors to feature or possibly unveil a finished vehicle in the company’s
booth. Trade shows include SEMA, PRI, NSRA, GOODGUYS, AUTORAMA, and more.
The remainder of this proposal will introduce you to the establishment
of Hot Rod Concepts; the exemplary experts who make up our cast
and crew and a detailed look at the amount of ongoing exposure and
impressions your brand could receive.
Let’s meet the team of talented individuals that make it happen.

TELEVISION NETWORK PROPOSAL:
HRC is currently in pre-production and is set to begin filming in late April 2009. Over 75% of the
filming will be on location at the HRC shop in Harrisburg, NC, just 3 miles from one of the most
popular NASCAR race tracks: LOWES Motor Speedway in Concord, NC.
HOT ROD CONCEPTS is NOT your average “how to” or custom vehicle build TV
show!
K2 Productions is the onsite film development crew that will put the shop experience (and some
daily life clips) of Waters, Santiago, Johnston, and Williams on camera to capture first hand in HD
every aspect of the HRC’s design, fabrication, arguing, yelling and hopefully finishing touches on
each sponsored hot rod build, but that’s not all! Cameras will also follow the HRC crew outside of
the HRC shop, giving viewers a front row seat into the mischief and mayhem the HRC team
creates and the drama that ensues in their lives outside the shop!
HRC plans to reveal dealings with local law enforcement, strapping one of our men into a 700hp
race car on a NASCAR Speedway or taking a front row seat experience in a Blue Angels Fighter
Jet for a screaming good time… the HRC guys will travel the country visiting the largest
automotive shows while spreading their knack for finding the coolest things to do as well as the
trouble that results from doing them! The entertainment factor will weigh as heavily as the
artwork they create in the custom car builds.
The pitch from HRC is an “inside-outside” look at a corporate sponsored custom car build. In
essence, a company’s brand (logo) is featured and showcased throughout the interior and
exterior of the vehicles as well as the personalities of the on-air talent. It’s not just another “hot
rod” show, but rather an in-depth look at quality craftsmanship brought to life under the auspices
of increased brand awareness.
Every episode your company desires to sponsor will be designed to acknowledge your brand
through banner placement and/or product usage or placement. Every possible effort will be
made to showcase your product and/or services through video, signage, logos, decals and
calculated product placement on the set, including the cast’s apparel.
Furthermore and as noted previously, Hot Rod Concepts proposes a spokesperson of your brand
appear as a guest on a select episode to promote your brand. This can easily be done at a tour
stop if unable to visit the HRC facility. Your representative will be able to deliver key talking
points and demonstration of product/brand on camera in order to maximize this phenomenal
(and very limited) sponsorship opportunity.
Just the Facts…
Demographically speaking, the show targets all those of driving age—from 15 to 80 years of age.
Most are male, ranging from Caucasian, Latino, African-American, Porto Rican, Asian and the all-
inclusive melting pot of America. Hot markets include largely populated areas with a large
automotive industry base such as New York City, the entire NASCAR-friendly South, the Motor
City area of Detroit; and the custom car and low-rider hot rod capital areas of southwest in
Southern California, Arizona, Colorado and Las Vegas, not to exclude the best loved mid-west car
show areas like St. Louis, Indianapolis, Tulsa, the Twin Cities, Milwaukee and Cleveland.
Literally, our demographic area is coast-to-coast! What’s more, this is your brand’s captive
audience who will follow your logo throughout the custom car build and the hilarity of the cast’s
antics on every episode. Every build will be formatted as a two-part series, with each episode
(part) of HRC show running for one hour including commercial break time. Additionally, the
network will air re-runs to be syndicated regularly after the initial debut, providing long term
exposure.
MEDIA & PUBLIC RELATIONS PROPOSAL:
Hot Rod Concepts has the client’s best interests in mind throughout the build, so in addition to
the in-focus television camera exposure, the team has laid out an aggressive plan to build a
turnkey public relations effort showcasing the entire project through its various stages of inside
the shop, on the web and LIVE auto show events nationwide.
With a wealth of industry-leading media contacts at all major automotive magazines, HRC
proposes a series of carefully pitched articles and editorial for every stage of the build. In
addition to the print public relations campaign, HRC would like to suggest that key deliverables
and/or premiums become a part of the marketing and PR mix—for example, posters of each
finished vehicle to feature your brand as a sponsor. These can be utilized both in the magazines
and as giveaways during the promotional stage of the project at auto events.
Rights of image usage of the finished vehicle as well as the HRC logo will be released to our
featured clients to take full advantage of product promotion.
Please note that HRC cast member images or likenesses thereof will require a signed agreement
between sponsorship partners and each individual cast member without exceptions.
ONLINE PRESENCE:
Hot Rod Concepts expects to capitalize on the growing online presence of viewers by linking the
various stages of the custom car build to the World Wide Web. Website impressions statistics
will be made available for clients on request. HRC has already secured a URL address for the
project, which will go active May 1, 2009. The initial address domain has been secured as
www.hotrodconcepts.tv.
HRC has heavily invested in marketing the project through the vast array of social networking
sites such as MySpace, Facebook and Twitter feeds. HRC already maintains a MySpace
presence, available for viewing at the following URL address:
http://www.myspace.com/hotrodsconcepts.
By choosing to participate in banner placement in the shop and becoming a show sponsor, your
company will receive a link as well as product/logo promotional photos through HRC’s multiple
web and networking presence.
PROMOTIONAL TOUR:
As mentioned in the introduction, Hot Rod Concepts sets themselves apart from all other custom
car build shows through the implementation of the Promotional Tour. Once the custom car build
ends, the promotional tour is just beginning. HRC has determined several key automotive trade
shows, widely recognized as the industry leader in each category, that have been selected to be
a part of the promotional tour. They include:
SEMA Show (Specialty Equipment Market Association)
The SEMA Show, held annually in Las Vegas, Nevada, is known as the Gold Standard of
automotive trade shows. Commencing in November of each calendar year, attendance for the
five-day event is estimated at just fewer than one million visitors.
Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show
This four-day event is held in December of each year with an estimated viewing audience of over
200,000.
NSRA Street Rod Nationals
Held in July in Louisville, KY, this four day event packs in a crowd of over 100,000 unique
visitors.

Held in February, this three day event has an estimated viewer ship of 100,000 unique visitors.

Without further ado, here is part one of the project:
Meet Vic, a Shelby enthusiast looking for big #s! With his GT500 street car in the hands of Jake Lamotta, DDD and Modularfords.com, we take you through the parts package and setup it takes to get this Mustang to 700whp!
To learn more about this project, please contact The DDD Directory at 888-443-4634
Saturday was a great day for video and pictures, though track conditions got hotter as the day passed.
We got a chance to give Vic’s car a few shakedown runs and were impressed by the MPH, though getting traction proved more difficult that we thought!
Vic’s suspension is set up to have great street manners, limited wheel hop and limited suspension travel. As a result, it’s not necessarily going to shine at the strip.
Chris Saunier was able to squeeze low-mid 11’s out of it (on Nitto DR’s) at 130 MPH.
This is very impressive considering the lack of practice, weight (almost 4300 LBS: Convertible GT500 + Chris (250 LBS) + a full tank of fuel) and slick tires compared to others. We’ve found that Hoosier drag radials outshine Nittos at the track, though the Nitto is a great tire if you want to drive it on the street with decent tread life.
133 MPH should be attainable with a little practice and with the correct suspension / tire adjustments, we’ve got a 10.60 car.
This car is an absolute screamer, without a single sacrifice in daily drivability.
Here are some pictures of the event:

Here is a really cool video by Craig Lieberman featuring a beautiful lady test-driving a Mercedes CLK 63 AMG
It’s nice to see beautiful women driving these cars instead of simply modeling with them! Looks like she was having a blast making 0-60 runs =o) Craig makes some awesome videos and his MySpace page can be seen here: http://www.myspace.com/craiglieberman
Meet with us in Florida!
DDD is headed to the annual “unofficial” Hooters Fun Ford Weekend kickoff!
If you’ve been there before, you know what I’m talking about!
If you haven’t, you have to come see it!
Every year on the Friday before Fun Ford Weekend at Orlando Speed World, racers and enthusiasts congregate to the Waterford Lakes Hooters for food, drinks, and some serious burnouts.
It’s the place to be to make new contacts, meet old friends, and watch a brand new pair of tires get annihilated in 1 minute flat =o)
It’s tonight!! February 29th, so leap on over to hooters in Waterford Lakes, Orlando.
If you see a shirt with that unmistakable “DDD” logo, stop and introduce yourself to us!
Ask for a DDD T-Shirt and I’ll make sure you get one!
I’ll also have a camera in hand, and will post a blurb about you and your business in our next blog and include your picture if you like.
Next week, it’s off to Bradenton, FL for the NMRA event on March 6th.
It’s a large event and we’d love the chance to meet some of you again, so let us know if you’re going and we’ll stop and say hi!
Video Project Updates
Our GT500 “Midnight Run” project is nearly finished and now Dynojet has joined in on the fun!
Those of you who own shops with a dyno: take a close look at Dynojets OBD2 Data Link module. I wish I had one of these when I was tuning cars!
This device is simple in operation, yet very powerful.
It automatically seeks out the vehicles sensor outputs through the OBD2 port, and reports the ones you want directly into Dynojet’s software, so it’s automatically synchronized with your dyno runs and data can be placed on the HP/Torque graphs.
This saves YOU a lot of time and provides the customer with detailed dyno graphs to show off!
You can learn more about this device here: http://www.dynojet.com/whats_new/Default.aspx
I’ll see you tonight…Ask me about video!

What is 3rd party objective video?
View our Installation video and commentary for Spec Clutch by CLICKING HERE
Did You Know?
The DDD Directory is not just an ad company; we’re a continued resource to help you communicate with others in a synergistic environment.
It’s important to have a 3rd party talking about the “highest and best use” of your products, and DDD accomplishes this with professional video commentary, featured editorials, a regular newsletter, and by placing 100% of your products in an online “virtual catalog”, so no one will miss you!
Exposure is our science and passion; let it work for you!
Do you already have a video?
Let DDD help you get the most out of it!
Don’t have one?
We’ll make it happen!
Why is online video so important?
The short answer: Today’s enthusiasts are spoiled, impatient, and want it now.
Gone are the days on aimlessly thumbing through a J.C. catalog, only to see static pictures of products that don’t necessarily fit your car.
Today’s gear heads are tech junkies.
All you have to do is hop on the internet and you can readily view videos of your exact car!
Millions have now gone to The DDD Directory, where catalogs of performance parts, videos, tech information, shops, online stores and a fully vehicle specific forum locator are all at your fingertips.
It’s important to allocate part of your advertising plans for online video for 3 simple reasons:
1. It’s inexpensive to create and expose
2. You can control and track the audience that views it
3. Simply put, its very effective; especially if it’s “3rd party objective” and the consumer can relate to it.
Picture your video, all over the internet, with a trusted 3rd party showing exactly how it works.
There is no stronger salesperson than word of mouth, unless it’s accompanied by video!
What video projects are currently on the table and how can I get involved with my own?
DDD invites you to call during business hours (9-6 M-F E.S.T) or e-mail us anytime to ask about current projects, and how you can get involved.
Current Projects include “We Brake for Boost”, “Midnight Run” and several others in the works.
To receive documentation of these projects, please e-mail us and we will send them to you. We are always looking for more video partners!
Midnight Run Project Details:
In our most recent project, “Midnight Run”, we’re adding a Whipple blower, Stillen Brakes, JLT Cold Air Intake, MSD Fuel Pump Booster, Kooks Long Tube Headers, and other products to a triple black 2008 Ford GT500 convertible.
ModularFords.com is our partner in this project and it will receive heavy exposure on The DDD Directory.com, Modularfords.com and many other social networking sites.
